Guitarist Saul Adamczewski accused of assault and abuse by two women

Two women have publicly accused Saul Adamczewski, the guitarist who fronts Insecure Men and a founding member of Fat White Family, of a pattern of physical and emotional abuse during past relationships with him. Posting from the Instagram handle @pissyjeanss last week, one woman said a brief relationship with Adamczewski turned violent after she became pregnant, alleging he pushed her, threw glass bottles at her and took her passport and money. "Saul has made it his duty to make me suffer," she wrote.

She also shared messages from a second woman, identified as Alexandra Scheja, who said Adamczewski had strangled her on more than one occasion and that police jailed him and issued a restraining order after neighbors called them during an incident. Singer-songwriter Jessica Winter added a comment of her own, saying she had witnessed Adamczewski's abuse of "two women and other men" and that he had threatened her to try to keep her quiet.

Adamczewski was a founding member of the rock band Fat White Family and was pushed out of the group in 2015 to enter rehab for drug addiction, though he said earlier this year that he had rejoined for one final album. He has fronted Insecure Men since 2016; the band's most recent album, A Man For All Seasons, came out in 2025 on the American label Fat Possum Records.

Fat Possum severed ties with the band following the allegations. "We take the accusations against Saul Adamczewski very seriously," the label said in a statement. "Fat Possum will no longer be working with Insecure Men." Insecure Men's scheduled set at the Green Man festival did not go ahead last weekend, with Mary In The Junkyard filling the slot instead, and a November show at Rough Trade Liverpool has since been canceled. The band's UK publicist and management have also cut ties with Adamczewski, and its Instagram account has been deactivated.

Adamczewski has not issued a public response to the allegations. Neither Insecure Men's label nor its former representatives have said whether the band will continue as a project.
