TDE hip-hop rapper Schoolboy Q announced a 10-city tour marking 10 years since his 2016 album "Blank Face LP," Pitchfork reported. The run opens Oct. 1 in Atlanta and closes Oct. 17 in Las Vegas.
The full route runs through the Tabernacle in Atlanta, Brooklyn Paramount in New York, the Fillmore in Washington, D.C., House of Blues in Anaheim, SOMA in San Diego, two Los Angeles shows at the Palladium and the Novo, the Van Buren in Phoenix, the Fox Theater in Oakland and Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas. The Los Angeles Palladium date, Oct. 9, had already sold out as of the announcement.
"Blank Face LP" remains a point of debate among fans over whether it counts among Schoolboy Q's classics, though HotNewHipHop described it as an undeniably "uniquely dark entry" in his catalog. Pitchfork gave the album a Best New Music review when it first came out.
The anniversary run arrives three weeks after Schoolboy Q teased the follow-up to his 2024 album "Blue Lips," giving fans a tour built around his catalog even as new music looks to be on the way. Away from music, the rapper has also become known in recent years as a serious golf enthusiast, having appeared at pro-am tournaments alongside touring professionals.
Tickets go on sale through an artist presale beginning Wednesday, Aug. 4, at 10 a.m. local time, with the general public sale following Friday, Aug. 7.
