Benny Blanco has released the cumbia-inspired track "Te Olvido (La La)" to preview his upcoming album Hermoso, Rolling Stone reports, calling in his wife Selena Gomez and Becky G to bring energy and Chicana pride to the Spanish-language song. Becky G sings the chorus, "Dime si somo o no somo de una vez, te lo pido," which translates roughly to asking a partner to decide once and for all whether they are together. Gomez has her own verse in Spanish, continuing work in the language she explored on 2021's Revelacion.

The accompanying video, directed by Stillz, the Colombian director behind visuals for Bad Bunny and Rosalia, and produced by Estevan Oriol, leans heavily into Chicano culture, with lowriders, marionette dolls and Lady of Guadalupe statues throughout. Actor Danny Trejo appears in the clip smashing a pinata and dancing alongside Becky G during a street party scene.

Blanco is Jewish-American and best known for pop hits, but this is not his first foray into Latin music: he co-produced Neton Vega's album Delirium last fall, and worked with Tainy, J Balvin and Gomez on the 2019 bilingual hit "I Can't Get Enough."

The single arrives ahead of Hermoso, set for release August 14, giving fans an early preview of an album Blanco has built around high-profile guest turns.

"Te Olvido (La La)" sits within Latin and pop, and its own single release is covered separately in Benny Blanco's own announcement of the song, alongside Becky G's own new album Baraja Bendita.
