Smidley, the project of former Foxing frontman Conor Murphy, has released the title track from his upcoming album Murphy Horse. He announced the record in June, and the title track marks the third song shared from it so far.
The two previously released songs from the album were "Capstone," featuring Lucy Dacus, and "Love In Every Direction." With the title track now out, the record's rollout has produced three songs ahead of a full release.
Smidley has served as his outlet since he stepped away from fronting Foxing, giving him a vehicle for songs that move between indie and rock. It marks his latest full-length under the Smidley name, though a specific release date has not yet been announced.
