Soulidified, the quartet from Building the Band, signed a deal with Atlantic Records

Soulidified have signed to Atlantic Records, announced on 19 August 2026, twelve months after the four of them first appeared on television. The group was assembled on the Netflix competition Building the Band, and the four members are Shade Jenifer, Malik Heard, Bradley Rittmann and Landon Boyce. They were put together in episode three of the series. "We're proud to officially call Atlantic home," the group said in a statement, describing a band that blends different backgrounds.

The performances that made the case for them on the show were covers: Usher's U Remind Me and Miguel's Sure Thing, both of which lean on the kind of tight four-part singing that is hard to fake under a studio light. That is the pitch the group has been making since, and it is a narrower one than most reality-television acts arrive with. They are a vocal group rather than a manufactured pop lineup with a producer standing behind it.

There is a small body of work behind the signing rather than none. One & Only came out in August 2025, weeks after the show, and What's Your Name followed in February 2026. Between the two they opened four shows for Khalid, who has been busy on features himself this year. A What's Your Name Tour is planned for the autumn.

Their manager is the reason the deal reads as a serious one rather than a television spin-off. Johnny Wright has steered the Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block, which makes him the person in the industry with the longest continuous record of turning a group of singers into a touring business. He said he saw something in the four of them from the first time he watched the show, "a rare quality I hadn't seen in any group I've managed before." Michael Parker and Justin Horowitz signed them for Atlantic.

Groups take longer to build than solo singers, which is why fewer labels bother. Four schedules, four sets of expectations and a revenue split that has to hold up for years all sit behind any band deal, and the rnb-soul market has not produced many new vocal groups this decade. That is the gap Soulidified are being signed into, rather than a crowded field they have to fight through.

Signings of this shape have been arriving steadily. The country rock trio DELTONA went to The Core Entertainment and WME earlier in the year, and the singer Shantaia took a management deal with Walk Off Entertainment. What separates this one is the origin: an act that existed for one year and was built on camera, now on the roster that carries some of the label's biggest names.

The test is the tour. Two singles and four support slots are a start on a résumé, not a career, and the autumn run is where four singers put together by a production company find out whether they can hold a room on their own name.
