THAO has shared "Catch As Catch Can," a collaboration with Neko Case and the latest single from her upcoming comeback album, Show Me.
The new track follows two earlier previews of the record: "Fossils" and "Sick Of The Times," the latter featuring Tune-Yards and the Linda Lindas. Pairing THAO with Case, a songwriter known both for her solo work and her time in the New Pornographers, gives Show Me its most high-profile guest turn yet, continuing a rollout that has leaned on a rotating cast of collaborators from across indie rock.
THAO built her name through a string of acclaimed solo and full-band releases over the past decade and a half, and Show Me is being billed as a return after time away from the spotlight, with each single so far pointing toward a fuller, more collaborative sound than her earlier records.
With three singles now released ahead of Show Me's full arrival, the album is shaping up as one of the more anticipated comeback records of the year among fans who have followed THAO's catalog since her earlier work with backing band The Get Down Stay Down.
No release date for the full album has been confirmed, but the steady drip of collaborators, from Tune-Yards to the Linda Lindas to now Neko Case, suggests Show Me will lean heavily on THAO's relationships across the indie rock world, arriving in the same week as new songs from Wolf Alice and Chrissi, all trackable in the release calendar.
