The Black Wizards share new single "Beat," the final preview before their album

The Black Wizards released "Beat" on August 18, the final single before their album Force Majeure & The Acts of God, due September 4 via Hassle Records. The desert-rock leaning track follows earlier singles "Wishing Well," "Loose" and "Killing The Buzz" from the same record, closing out the rollout with one last taste before the full album lands.

Singer Joana Brito described "Beat" as a song built around fragility rather than confidence. "It's a song on fragility, a song about standing in the corner, feeling alone, with nowhere to go," she explained.

Brito framed the song as a pushback against outside pressure to conform, tying its personal subject to a wider point about acceptance: "Everyone keeps telling you who you should be or how you should act, but that's bullshit," she said. "There's beauty in diversity, there's love in equality and that's all that matters."

With four singles now released ahead of Force Majeure & The Acts of God, the band has spent the weeks leading up to September 4 building out the album's identity one song at a time rather than saving its sound for a single reveal.

The release calendar carries the album's date, and The Line of Best Fit's report did not indicate any further material planned before then, leaving "Beat" as the closing statement of a rollout that has run since earlier this summer for the rock band.
