New York music station The Lot Radio raises funds for Lola Evans' cancer treatment

Evans is a familiar face at The Lot Radio's Brooklyn kiosk, where the station has said visitors have a good chance of being greeted by her over a coffee. The team called her a "beloved" part of the operation, someone who has spent five years "forming connections with regulars, first-time visitors, and radio guests alike" and helping the station feel like home.

According to the fundraiser page, Evans is eligible for New York State disability benefits, but those payments will only cover a small part of her lost wages. The campaign is aimed at covering the cost of surgery along with everyday expenses like rent, groceries and transportation to medical appointments, during a period the station described as a "significant loss of income" for her.

The Lot Radio asked supporters to give what they can, saying every donation "will go directly to Lola," and noted that sharing the fundraiser page is itself a meaningful way to help for anyone unable to contribute money directly.

No timeline has been given for Evans' treatment or a possible return to the station. The Lot Radio has not said whether it will share further updates, and the fundraiser remains open for donations as of this report.
