The Wldlfe are releasing a new album called Revolver on October 2 via Riser House Records, MusicRow reported on August 3. The band marked the announcement with two new songs, "Lips" and "Parachute," and said Revolver draws on a broad range of influences, from classic '80s rock and Top 40 pop to alternative and indie.
The band said "Lips" started as a chorus they could not finish while working on their last record, and were glad to revisit; they call it catchy while still sounding like a different version of themselves. Vocalist Jansen Hogan said "Parachute" came together easily with songwriter Ricky Manning, describing it as a story about falling in love with no strings attached that also finds the band back in a rock era with an anthemic chorus.
The Wldlfe will support Revolver with the Long Way Home Tour, kicking off October 17 at The Social in Orlando and running through more than 20 cities across six weeks, including Austin, Dallas, Phoenix, San Diego, Los Angeles, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Chicago and Toronto, before wrapping December 4 at Nashville's Basement East.
