THEHONESTGUY has announced a pair of Canadian shows this November, playing Montreal's Le Ministere on November 5 and Toronto's Drake Underground on November 7. The JUNO Award-winning R&B singer has spent the last several years splitting his time between the two cities, building his name on both local scenes, and the new dates support his latest project, last month's DON'T DISTURB THE GROOVE: AFROSOUL EP.
"It's been a minute, and I am excited to be in a room with you again celebrating good R&B music with a live band," he wrote in an Instagram post announcing the shows, according to Exclaim!. Tickets for both dates are on sale now.
THEHONESTGUY's dual-city career has made him a fixture of Montreal and Toronto's R&B circuits, and the November dates give him a chance to bring the AFROSOUL material to a live band setting for the first time since the EP's release. The Toronto show carries a 19-plus restriction, while the Montreal date is all-ages.
No further tour dates have been announced beyond the two November shows, which are now listed on the tour guide, and it remains to be seen whether the run will expand once tickets go on sale.
