Trace Adkins to release 30th anniversary edition of Dreamin' Out Loud

Trace Adkins is releasing a special 30th anniversary edition of his debut album, Dreamin' Out Loud, via Capitol Records Nashville/UMe on October 16. The original album, released in June 1996, quickly went platinum and established Adkins as a new force in country music, pairing traditionalist instincts with what MusicRow described as "a wildly adventurous streak."

The debut delivered a run of hits that shaped Adkins' early career, including his first No. 1, "(This Ain't) No Thinkin' Thing," the gold-certified "Every Light In The House," and the No. 2 hit "I Left Something Turned On At Home." It also climbed to No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart, reached the Top 10 on Top Country Albums, and helped Adkins win Top New Male Vocalist at the 1997 Academy of Country Music Awards.

That debut kicked off a career that has since produced 40 hit singles on country radio and sold more than 12 million albums. The 30th anniversary edition keeps the original 10-song tracklist and adds a bonus live version of "Every Light In The House," recorded in Nashville in 2021. It will also mark the album's first-ever vinyl pressing.

The reissue lands as Adkins continues the "Trace Adkins 30th Anniversary Tour," which launched in January and has since been extended due to strong ticket demand. He also recently appeared on the podcast This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von. Dreamin' Out Loud: 30th Anniversary joins the release calendar as one of country's bigger reissue announcements of the year.
