Rotterdam post-punk band Tramhaus have shared a new song, "Swarm," the second single from their upcoming sophomore album, Blister, due out this fall. It follows the album's lead single, "Plovdiv."
"Swarm" is a fiery, riff-driven track carrying real grunge and post-hardcore muscle, a heavier turn than the band's earlier work. The group said the song is about "the individual self, and its corresponding image, are you made by the ideas of others, or are you a product of your own thoughts?"
Tramhaus spend much of their time touring across Europe, and that road time shows in the song's playing: a locked-in chemistry between the band members that tends to come only from logging a lot of live shows together. That tightness carries through "Swarm" as much as it did on "Plovdiv," giving Blister an early sense of a band arriving at a new album already firing on all cylinders.
Blister lands as Tramhaus' second full-length, and "Swarm" adds another entry to the release calendar as the record's release window approaches this fall.
