R&B singer and actor Tyrese turned to his millions of followers over the weekend with an unusually raw message, saying he has reached an emotional breaking point and asking for one thing above all else: prayer. "Stretch your hands out please and pray for me," he wrote. "I really feel discouraged and feel like I'm about to lose my mind."

Tyrese described mounting pressure that has touched nearly every part of his life. "I've been overwhelmed, deeply stressed and being pushed to my limits," he wrote, adding that the strain has hit him "mentally, emotionally, psychologically and financially." He did not specify the exact source of the pressure.

He also reflected on how he typically handles hard times, saying he usually hides his struggles rather than showing them. "I have an extremely high tolerance for pain," he wrote. "Most of the time, I smile my way through whatever I'm carrying." This time, he said, that approach wasn't working: "Right now, I'm empty. I'm depleted. My soul is tired."

Tyrese was careful to clarify what he was and wasn't asking of his followers. "I don't need money," he wrote, asking instead for "prayer, covering, love, positive energy and genuine support."

The post drew thousands of responses from fans and followers offering encouragement, part of a wave of public support for a singer, actor and "Fast & Furious" franchise star who has built a long career in both music and film.
