The Featured Artists Coalition has opened a second round of grants through its UK Artist Touring Fund, offering artists up to £8,000 to help cover the cost of getting on the road. Applications opened on August 26 and close on September 11.
The scheme follows a first round that handed out £125,000 to 26 artists, funding 211 shows across the country. This round more than doubles that pot to £300,000, raised through voluntary ticket contributions collected at arena and stadium shows.
Grants cover either £8,000 or 40 percent of a tour's eligible costs, whichever figure is lower. For the first time, artists can also apply for support covering a mix of headline, support and festival dates, rather than headline shows alone.
To qualify, a tour must include at least three UK headline shows in venues holding between 75 and 2,000 people, and the funded dates need to be completed by April 30, 2027.
The fund adds another source of support for artists squeezed by rising touring costs, at a time when many acts lean on streaming and festival slots to make a run of shows pay for itself.
