Above & Beyond have released a new single, "When You Believe," featuring Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Victoria Horn, taken from their album Bigger Than All of Us, out now on their own label, Anjunabeats.
Horn has worked with the trance trio since their 2015 collaboration "Counting Down the Days," and the group called this new pairing a natural evolution of a decade-long songwriting relationship. EDM.com files the track as deep house, built around atmospheric pads and cinematic chords rather than the soaring synth drops the trio is known for.
"I'm really proud of this song. I hope that it reaches the people that it needs to reach," Horn said. Horn and the group's Jono Grant discussed the track's recording process in a behind-the-scenes video released alongside the song, giving fans a rare look at how the decade-long collaboration comes together in the studio.
Bigger Than All of Us continues Above & Beyond's practice of pairing its own production trio with longtime vocal collaborators rather than one-off guest spots, a pattern that has helped Horn's voice become one of the more recognizable threads running through the group's catalog since 2015. "When You Believe" is out now, part of this week's new electronic releases.
