Yolanda Parker teams with JTREECE on new single "Who's Going to Love You"

Yolanda Parker released "Who's Going to Love You" on August 18, a collaboration with fellow Maryland artist JTREECE featured in SoulTracks' First Listen series. Parker, a rising R&B singer who first appeared on the recording scene in 2019 with singles produced by Raymond Barton, including "Together in Love" and the SoulTracks-featured "Everything You Do Blows My Mind," sings over a neo-soul arrangement on the new track.

SoulTracks writer J Matthew Cobb described the song as carrying live drum work in the style of Questlove's hypnotic percussive flair, layered under a saucy, neo-soul arrangement with contemporary jazz touches. A trumpet solo winds through the song's verses before Parker answers with the repeated line: "I do, I do, I do."

JTREECE, a Maryland singer, songwriter and producer, handled co-production on the track, continuing a working relationship between two artists from the same state's R&B scene. He previously co-produced 2023's "Close the Door," a cover of the Teddy Pendergrass classic that featured a duet with The Terri Green Project.

Parker's earlier catalog includes "Together in Love" and "Everything You Do Blows My Mind," the latter of which was also featured by SoulTracks when it came out. "Who's Going to Love You" extends that relationship with the outlet, arriving through the same First Listen format SoulTracks has used to spotlight her music before.

The single continues Parker's pattern of building her catalog through singles rather than a full album, at least so far, with new R&B releases like hers tracked on the release calendar as they arrive.
