YoungBoy Never Broke Again says he was paid as much as $1.5 million for some shows on his MASA Tour, and never less than $1.2 million a night, he said in an interview on Open Thoughts With Funny Marco that debuted on YouTube on August 11, XXL reported. The Louisiana hip-hop artist called himself "mostly reclusive" in the wide-ranging conversation.
The 2025 MASA Tour ran 42 shows and became the highest-grossing tour by a debut headlining rapper, pulling in more than $70 million, XXL reported.
"I used to tell myself I'll never get $100,000 a show," YoungBoy said, framing the MASA Tour numbers against where he once thought his career would top out. He added that he never expected a No. 1 album either, saying he had always wanted one but never quite let himself believe it would happen.
In the same interview, the rapper said he plans to retire after one or two more albums and a final tour, and that he does not intend to return to the United States, where he now spends little of his time.
The comments follow other reflections from YoungBoy on his career this year, including a report that heart trouble was pulling him back from music.
