YouTube Premium prices are rising in Singapore and several European markets, with reported increases on Individual plans running from around 10% to as much as 17%. The new rates take effect for existing subscribers from their first billing date on or after September 23, according to 9to5Google.
Google has not published a press release or a list of every affected market, and the increases are being communicated to subscribers directly by email rather than through any public announcement. The rises first surfaced on August 21, when subscribers began posting price-change emails to Reddit and outlets including Android Authority and 9to5Google picked up the reports.
In parts of Europe, the Individual plan is rising from €13.99 to €15.99 a month, and from €14.99 to €16.99 in Finland. In the Netherlands, the Family plan is climbing €4 to €29.99 and the Student plan €2 to €10.99. In Singapore, the Individual plan rises from SGD $13.98 to $15.98 and the Family plan from $27.98 to $31.98. A notice sent to a subscriber in Romania and seen by TNW raises that market's Individual plan from RON 29.00 to RON 32.00 and warns that subscribers who take no action by October 10 will lose their membership before the new price takes effect.
The increases echo the wording YouTube used the last time it raised Premium prices across Europe, in September 2024, when some territories saw jumps of more than 40%. They also follow a US price rise four months ago, when the Individual plan there rose from $13.99 to $15.99 a month.
YouTube Music and YouTube Premium counted 125 million subscribers globally, including trials, as of March 2025, and the company said in October 2025 that it had paid the music industry more than $8 billion over the prior 12 months across advertising and subscriptions combined.
