1300SAINT has released a new six-track EP called Newdrug2., HotNewHipHop reported on August 7. The project leans on melodic flows over glitchy production, the outlet said, continuing the sound that has made him one of the standout newer names on Young Thug's YSL imprint.
1300SAINT is part of the newer wave of artists on YSL, the label Young Thug built around performers who share his style but bring what HotNewHipHop editor Alexander Cole called "a youthful twist." Cole placed Newdrug2. among the stronger work coming out of hip-hop's underground scene, writing that the artist "knows his sound and sticks to it."
The EP runs six tracks: Encore., Nightgown., PainKillers., Tattoos., NotASong. and 808s., an easy-to-digest sequence Cole said rewards a single sitting.
Newdrug2. is the sequel to 1300SAINT's 2025 EP NewDrug., and it follows a steady run of releases on YSL: the tribute EP SAINT SEASON, which paid homage to Young Thug, arrived in April 2025, and his full-length album Savior followed that November. The pace has made him one of the imprint's more prolific newer voices.
The release comes as YSL's founder, Young Thug, contests a decade-old lawsuit tied to a 2015 shooting on Lil Wayne's tour bus, a case now working through Cobb County court even as newer YSL artists like 1300SAINT keep the label's release pipeline moving. Newdrug2. joins the rest of the week's new hip-hop releases tracked on the release calendar.
