Back to Black gets an expanded reissue for Amy Winehouse's 20th anniversary

Amy Winehouse's Back to Black will get an expanded reissue for its 20th anniversary, arriving October 23 with four previously unreleased demos, a handful of B-sides and a full live album making its debut.

The live recording was captured at Amsterdam's Paradiso on February 8, 2007, and is being released in full for the first time. The reissue comes in 3xLP and 3xCD sets, each with alternative cover art, via UMR/Island.

Mark Ronson, who produced half the original album, reflected on the record's staying power. "It's crazy that six songs made in a fit of furious musical infatuation would matter so deeply to so many people twenty years later," he said in a statement.

Co-producer Salaam Remi remembered Winehouse in similarly reverent terms. "Amy was one of one," he said. "One-of-a-kind artist. One-of-a-kind spirit. One-of-a-kind soul."

The new edition rounds out the record's demo history, adding four more unreleased early versions on top of those already included on a prior deluxe reissue, alongside a run of alternate takes and B-sides recorded around the same sessions.
