Blondshell releases new track "Fur Elise" from album "Violins," out next month

Blondshell released "Fur Elise" on August 18, another song from her third album, Violins, set for release on September 25. The track follows the album's title track and earlier single "Heart Has To Work So Hard," and Sabrina Teitelbaum, who records as Blondshell, described the record as marking a shift toward less literal songwriting: "It's gotten a little bit less literal," she said. "There's more imagery. But my main goal with this record was to have songs that hit hard. I wanted big lead lines."

Blondshell tours the UK and Europe this winter behind the album, with dates running through Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Paris, Manchester, Glasgow, London and Dublin between December 6 and 17. The Roundhouse date in London on December 15 is the tour's largest UK stop.

Violins is Teitelbaum's third album under the Blondshell name, following 2023's self-titled debut and 2025's If You Asked For A Picture, the latter of which DIY described as an album that saw her "dialling up the honesty and letting her guard down." She also released a reworked version of that second record, Another Picture, last November, featuring guest contributions and a new single.

"Fur Elise" continues a rollout built one single at a time rather than around a single advance preview of the full record, following her earlier "Scaring Strangers" headline tour this past autumn across North America, Europe and the UK, a run that helped grow the rock singer's audience ahead of this next chapter.

DIY's report did not indicate whether more songs will surface before the album's September 25 release, leaving Violins, tracked on the release calendar, as the next big marker in a catalog that has moved quickly since Teitelbaum's 2023 breakthrough.
