CMAT has released a live EP built from the biggest show of her career. EURO-COUNTRY (Live at St Anne's) collects four recordings from her headline set at St Anne's Park in Dublin in May 2026, in front of 20,000 people, with the Very Sexy CMAT Band behind her. Clash's Robin Murray reported the release on August 27 and NME's Liberty Dunworth followed a day later.
The four songs are live versions of tracks from Euro-Country, her third album, released a year earlier: The Jamie Oliver Petrol Station, When A Good Man Cries, Running/Planning and the title track. The Irish songwriter has said what the night meant to her in her own terms, calling it "a dream show" that confirmed her status as a national treasure in Ireland.
The release comes in two shapes. It is on streaming, and there is a limited pressing of 500 copies on green vinyl sold only through her own store. Alongside that, the entire two-hour concert went up on her YouTube channel for a limited window running from Friday, August 28 to the August bank holiday Monday on August 31.
The Dublin gig sat inside a year of unusually large rooms for an act who was playing clubs not long ago. CMAT headlined London's Alexandra Palace in March and took festival slots at Coachella, TRNSMT, Mad Cool and Bilbao BBK Live, where she performed with Robbie Williams.
The schedule barely paused for the EP. She played Rock en Seine in France on August 28 and Electric Picnic in Ireland the following day, then headlined Custom House Square in Belfast on August 31 and September 2, with End Of The Road to come on September 6 and support slots for Brandi Carlile later in the year.
Concert films and live sets are turning into a release format of their own rather than a bonus, and dated releases sit in the release calendar. More from the same crossover between country and indie is on the hubs, alongside albums like Shaboozey's western concept record and The Strokes' first album in six years.
