Spiritbox singer Courtney LaPlante has released her first signature vocal plugin through MixWave, the latest addition to the audio software company's line of artist-designed tools for metal vocalists.
"We've been developing this idea together since 2021, and I hope you can feel all the love and care that went into it," LaPlante said of the plugin, which she described as a way to focus on her live performance and studio creativity without juggling multiple tools.
The plugin, MixWave: Courtney LaPlante, is built from seven modules, including pitch, distortion, compression, modulation, reverb, delay and line amplifier, that can be rearranged in any order to handle both clean and harsh vocal styles. It's available now for an introductory price of $79, with a regular price of $139.
LaPlante's Spiritbox bandmate Mike Stringer already released his own MixWave guitar plugin, and owners of that plugin can buy LaPlante's for a loyalty price of $69.
The release comes as Spiritbox prepares for a European tour with Jinjer and Dying Wish in September, followed by a special show alongside Metallica on Nov. 21 marking the 25th anniversary of Connecticut's Mohegan Sun Arena.
