Oli Sykes and Courtney LaPlante tease a new track made for Valorant

Oli Sykes of Bring Me the Horizon and Courtney LaPlante of Spiritbox have teased a new collaboration made for the video game Valorant, working alongside electronic producer Grabbitz, Metal Injection reported on August 12.

The track, "If the Sun Burns Out Tonight," is being made as the official anthem for the 2026 Valorant Champions Tour. "I've always been drawn to projects that blur the lines between storytelling and music," Sykes said of the pairing with Riot Games, calling it a natural fit alongside Grabbitz and LaPlante.

LaPlante said she could not wait to release the song, noting that Sykes has invited her to perform live with Bring Me the Horizon several times over the years without the two ever formally recording together until now. "Oli went in right away and made it a true collaboration," she said.

Grabbitz, who produced the track, said the three artists came together from different corners of the globe and landed on something that sits between his own electronic sound and the heavier registers of Bring Me the Horizon and Spiritbox. He called it, in his own words, the best Valorant anthem yet.

No official release date has been set, but the song is expected to arrive ahead of the Valorant Champions Tour's Shanghai finals, which run from September 24 to October 18.

Both singers have stepped outside metal before, Metal Injection noted, with Sykes featuring on Lil Uzi Vert's "Werewolves" and LaPlante appearing on Illenium's "Shivering."
