Darkest Hour set their 11th album Suffer Divine for October 30

Darkest Hour have announced their 11th studio album. Suffer Divine arrives October 30, and the title track is out ahead of it as the first single.

The record was produced by Mark Lewis, whose credits include Whitechapel, The Black Dahlia Murder and Cannibal Corpse, and it follows 2024's Perpetual | Terminal.

Singer John Henry described the single as a song with a target. "Our first single and title track of the new album Suffer Divine is about justice and accountability," he said, aiming it at anyone who peddles hatred and division to feed an ego.

Guitarist Mike Schleibaum talked about the sessions in terms of density rather than speed. "It's full of rage, thrash, and aggression but also feels musically dense," he said, crediting the label team, Lewis and the band themselves for the result and calling it an album born out of love for melodic death metal.

The album runs 11 tracks, opening with "All Cruelty Springs From Weakness" and closing on "A Story of Redemption."

Touring starts before the year is out. Darkest Hour play two headline shows in mid-November, at No Class in Cleveland on November 10 and the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis on November 11, then join Fear Factory for 14 dates that run west through Denver, Seattle and Portland before two nights at the Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles on November 28 and 29. Other metal records with dates attached, including Immolation's Descent, sit on the release calendar.
