Davido is taking his latest album back to Lagos for three nights. The Afrobeats singer will play the National Theatre from 17 to 19 December, a homecoming residency built around Oriade and a run of older hits, with special guests across the three shows and a trailer already out.
The venue choice is the point. The National Theatre reopened in 2025 after a major renovation, and Davido has described it as Nigeria's equivalent of Madison Square Garden, which is a large claim and the reason for making it there rather than in an arena built last year.
He was direct about why it matters. Any opportunity he gets to promote his culture he takes, he told Variety, and this one is very dear to him because they are doing it at home.
The timing places it inside Dirty December, the stretch at the end of the Nigerian year when the diaspora comes back and Lagos turns into the busiest live music market in West Africa for a few weeks. A three-night stand in the middle of it is a different proposition from a one-off arena date.
The residency was announced alongside the official video for On the Road, the latest single from the Oriade era, which arrived on Friday 18 September. That campaign has already produced the Tell Everybody video with Leon Thomas, and Davido has kept turning up elsewhere too, including on Yung Miami's Spend Dat remix with Shenseea and Vybz Kartel.
The December dates are logged in the tour guide, and the music sits across pop and R&B and soul on this site's hubs. No ticket details or support acts have been named yet.
