Yung Miami has released an international remix of "Spend Dat," bringing Davido, Shenseea and Vybz Kartel onto a song that has been running all summer.
It did not arrive alone. The same day she delivered a second rework of the track with Lil Baby and Kodak Black, giving the song two separate guest lists in a single release.
HotNewHipHop describes the original as a song of the summer contender, a record fans have been playing on repeat that has put her back at the front of the conversation. Its verdict on the international version is that each guest brings a different sound to something already built to be catchy.
The Afrobeats and dancehall pairing is the more unusual of the two. Davido, Shenseea and Vybz Kartel pull the record away from its Miami origin and toward Lagos and Kingston, where the Lil Baby and Kodak Black version keeps it firmly in American rap.
Both versions are dated August 28 and carry no album attached to them. They are logged on the release calendar with the rest of the hip-hop and pop autumn, after MusicSuey covered the Lil Baby and Kodak Black remix when she announced it.
