deadmau5 will close this year's Day of the deadmau5 run somewhere no touring DJ has much precedent for: Bounce Empire, a 50,000 square foot indoor amusement park in Lafayette, Colorado, on 1 November. The show is all ages, and every attendee has to sign a waiver before they get in.
The venue is not a converted warehouse pretending to be a bouncy castle. Bounce Empire runs more than 50 attractions and installed a 360 degree hydraulic concert stage wrapped by a 67-foot circular transparent LED screen in July 2025, which is what the show is built around. Founder James Hay-Arthur said at the time that he built the place to combine visuals with immersive play, and that the screen was meant to change what families expect from an indoor venue. Visuals for the night draw on Dia de los Muertos imagery, projected onto that wraparound screen.
The date is deliberate rather than incidental. It lands on Dia de los Angelitos, the day set aside to remember children who have died, and the venue has billed the booking as a family experience on that basis. Doors open at 6pm, deadmau5 goes on at 6:30pm for what EDM.com describes as an intimate live DJ set, and every ticket doubles as a Bounce Pass giving all-day run of the rest of the attractions. Day guests without an event ticket are cleared out at 5:30pm and the building switches to pass holders only.
Tickets are tiered rather than flat. General admission started at 110 dollars and is set to rise to 150 as availability shrinks, with VIP at 175 including a meet and greet with an autograph plus food and soft drinks. That answers the question the announcement mostly raises, which is whether an all-ages rave in a bounce house is priced as a novelty or as a headline show. It is priced as a headline show.
The Halloween series it belongs to is older than the venue. Day of the deadmau5 started at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in 2019 and has grown since, including a four-city run in 2023 that finished with a doubleheader back at Red Rocks. What the 2026 edition adds is the one thing all that history somehow missed: this is the first year he has actually played Red Rocks on Halloween night itself, headlining a twin bill on 30 and 31 October before the Bounce Empire date the following evening.
Other electronic acts have been treating the same weekend as a booking opportunity, with Arcade Fire's frontman lining up a rare DJ set at a Los Angeles Halloween event and John Summit dropping festival dates ahead of his arena run. Dates for all of them are tracked in the tour guide.
