Denzel Curry and Kenny Beats have released "Difference," the closing track and lead single from their joint album ii, out August 21 via Loma Vista, with Yebba featured on the hook, Pitchfork reported on August 12.
ii is the pair's first full album together since 2020's Unlocked, and their first collaboration since the producer began going by his full name, Kenneth Blume III. Blume said in a statement that the two "started every project on opposite sides of a coin and fought our way to the center," and that the finished album carries "the growth and the fight in equal parts."
The nine-track album also features Jpegmafia on "Evil Grin" and Westside Gunn on "Crown," HotNewHipHop reported the same day, alongside solo cuts including "Gone Fishing," "Candlelight," "Product," "UPS," "Benjamin" and "Cold Night in Hell."
HotNewHipHop described "Difference" as a strong preview of the record, with Kenny Beats providing layered production, Curry's flow carrying the verses, and Yebba supplying the hook throughout the track.
The single continues a busy year of new material from Denzel Curry within hip-hop, and readers can track the album's release on the release calendar.
