Fuerza Regida's "This Is Our Dream" tour fills Dodger Stadium

Fuerza Regida played Dodger Stadium on July 18, joining a list of acts including Elton John, the Beatles, Michael Jackson and Beyoncé to headline the venue, as part of the band's "This Is Our Dream" stadium tour. More than 56,000 fans attended, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The nine-city tour launched in June and closes Aug. 7 at New York's Citi Field, capping the era of 2025's "111xpantia," which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and became the highest-charting Spanish-language album ever by a band or duo. "It's proof that dreams are worth chasing, fighting for, even when it feels hard or impossible," rhythm guitarist Khrystian Ramos said of the stadium run, which follows sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden and the Hollywood Bowl on consecutive nights last year.

The band's rise took over a decade. Formed in 2015 in the Inland Empire, Fuerza Regida first built a following performing cover songs at local parties. Ramos recalled one early setback that stuck with him: "We got kicked out of a gig one time. The guy literally told us that he didn't like our music," he said, calling the drive home afterward a defining moment. The group broke through in 2018 with the viral hit "Radicamos En South Central" and signed with independent label Rancho Humilde soon after.

The current lineup came together gradually. Sousaphone player José "Pelon" García left a construction job with benefits and a 401(k) to join full time, after juggling both for a stretch: "I worked in construction Monday through Friday and we had gigs with Fuerza Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday," he said. Tololoche player Moisés López joined in 2022 after frontman JOP asked him to learn the instrument. "He bought me it. I picked it up real quick and from there it's history," López said.

The Dodger Stadium show leaned into that history with a stage prop styled after "Back to the Future," using a Chevrolet 454 SS pickup truck, a nod to corrido forefather Chalino Sanchez, as a time machine that walked the crowd through the band's catalog. Guest performers included Los Gemelos de Sinaloa, Calle 24, Chino Pacas, Clave Especial and Chuyin, part of what has become a broader breakout moment for música mexicana.

The night also carried undertones of the band's messier present: its increasingly public legal fight with Rancho Humilde founder Jimmy Humilde over royalties and control, previously covered in Fuerza Regida add new dates to the This Is Our Dream tour and Fuerza Regida closes historic stadium tour with a star-studded NYC finale. Before performing "Triston," a 2026 track pulled from streaming platforms amid the dispute, JOP told the crowd, "that lawsuit is still underway and we know who will win," adding that the song's removal couldn't stop the crowd from hearing it live.
