Glastonbury Festival opened the final day of its 2025 edition, Sunday 29 June, with a short note to everyone still on Worthy Farm. Another warm one was likely, the note said, so the heat advice was worth a second look, and anyone packing up camp that day was asked to "love the farm and leave no trace."
The same post doubled as a crowd forecast. Organisers expected comfortably busy crowds at the Pyramid, Other, West Holts and Park stages, singling out Rod Stewart's 5.45pm Pyramid set and the Maccabees at the Park at 10.15pm as the two likely to pull the largest audiences. Sub Focus at IICON at 12.30am and Marc Rebillet at the Shangri-La Stage at 2am were named as late-night draws.
Some tented venues would run one in, one out, the festival warned, and stewards would divert people around areas sitting at capacity. Anyone who wanted room to breathe was pointed at the quieter corners of the site: Dragon's Tail, the hill above the Park, and the ground above the Tipi Field and the Green Fields. The shortest route to a stage, the note added, is often not the quickest.
A companion post the same day dealt with the Monday getaway, with temperatures of up to 31C predicted. Drivers were told to carry what they could back to the car on the Sunday, to leave between midnight and 6am to dodge both the queues and the heat, and to refill bottles at the site's 800-plus taps before setting off. People leaving by public transport got a list of their own. Free sunscreen was available at information points, a damp cloth on the neck or head was recommended, and the advice included taking a rucksack off while queueing, since a pack on your back traps heat rather than letting it go. Stewards were told to watch for anyone feeling faint.
The 2025 festival was the last before a fallow year at Worthy Farm, which the founder confirmed in his 90th birthday interview that October.
