HYUKOH have released "KoK", a new single co-produced by the DJ and producer Yu Su and running around eight minutes.
The track is out on DOOROODOOROO ARTIST COMPANY and arrives with a video directed by Song Seoyoon. It follows "Godspeed!", released only a week earlier, and is the second piece of new music the South Korean band have put out since their 2024 album AAA.
Two releases in eight days, both long, suggests a band working through a batch of material rather than trailing a single record. Neither song has been attached to an announced album.
The Yu Su credit continues a pattern. HYUKOH have built a habit of handing tracks to producers from outside their own guitar-based world, having previously worked with Peggy Gou and Nosaj Thing, and Yu Su's background in club music pulls "KoK" further from the band's earlier arrangements.
Their live history has been mostly international. They have played Coachella, Lowlands, Pukkelpop and Fuji Rock, and sold out Electric Brixton in London back in 2019. The next date is AM JAM ASIA in Taipei on August 30.
The single sits between indie and rock with an electronic edge, and joins the release calendar.
