Karol G plays MetLife Stadium with Tainy and Judeline joining her

Karol G brought Tainy, Judeline and Rusowsky out at MetLife Stadium on Thursday, the first of two sold-out nights in New Jersey on her Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour. Rolling Stone puts the crowd at 80,000 and describes a set in which the pyrotechnics were frequent enough to lose count of.

All three guests were there for the same song. Bby Wow has topped Spotify's global chart for twenty days and has now entered the top ten of the Hot 100, and it got the full treatment: Tainy, the Puerto Rican producer who helped build it, came out to spin over a makeshift DJ table and dropped a new beat on it, then Judeline and Rusowsky, the track's featured artists, performed it live with her for the first time.

The staging matched the moment. Pink and blue strobes turned the stadium into a nightclub, the platform the four of them were on rose over the audience, and once they left the screens filled with fan clips from the song's TikTok trend, which the magazine says has soundtracked 7.9 million videos.

The Colombian singer last filled the same stadium in 2023, and told this crowd she expected them to bring the house down after two or three years away. Between then and now she headlined Coachella in April, the first woman to do it, released Tropicoqueta in 2025 and then put out a second album, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto, on 7 August, in the middle of a tour that had started at Soldier Field in Chicago in July.

She also used the night to answer critics. Introducing Ese Hombre es Malo, a mariachi song written after listening to Juan Gabriel and recorded in Guadalajara, she addressed the argument that followed its Latin Grammy nomination for best regional song, saying in Spanish that the record means a lot to her regardless of what it was nominated for and that it was meant to unite the countries she has played in.

Two other moments pushed in the same direction. Edward James Olmos appeared in a pre-recorded film introducing the third act, telling the crowd to raise their flags, and the opener Elena Rose told the audience that her crew photographer had been detained by immigration officers while travelling to the show.

The final stretch ran through Gucci Los Paños, a Mañana Será Bonito deep cut she has played only a handful of times on this tour, the merengue song Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido, and Provenza to close.
