Karol G's seventh album 'No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto' is out

Karol G released her seventh studio album, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto, on August 7. The title translates as I Don't Regret Feeling So Much, and the 14 tracks sit in the wreckage of a breakup: dream pop textures, acoustic instruments and ballads, with her reggaeton pop instincts still running underneath. Drake sings in Spanish on it, and Bruno Mars, Judeline, Rusowsky and Greg Gonzalez of Cigarettes After Sex also guest.

The record came out of a stop. The Colombian singer told her team during Latin Grammys week that she needed to pause, and the day after the ceremony she went to Hawaii and stayed about six weeks, hiking alone and filling notebooks with lyrics and poems. She said she had not set out to make an album, that she had gone cold and did not want to speak to anyone, and that letters from fans were what got her back into a studio.

It is her first album since Tropicoqueta, which arrived in 2025 and imagined a bright, tropical, Latina-led world across cumbia, salsa and vallenato. This one goes the other way. The producers are largely the same, with Ovy on the Drums, Sky Rompiendo, Edgar Barrera and Tainy all back, and Oklou, one of the artists she listened to on repeat in Hawaii, turning up on a song.

The album had been finished for months before it came out. She held it because she did not want it to look as though she were selling a personal situation, and released it only once she had found some distance. Her split from the Colombian singer Feid late last year sits behind much of it, well before the news reached the press in January.

The songs run from Te Llevas To, an EDM elegy about losing yourself when a relationship ends, to Bebiendo Lagrimas, a reggaeton track that rejects the idea of love outright, to Alguien Que Te Amaba, a synth-heavy cumbia in the Tejana style co-written with Pete Astudillo, who wrote many of Selena's biggest songs. Despues de Ti, the shoegaze ballad she debuted at Coachella in April as its first Latina headliner, is on it too.

Karol G had already trailed the record: Drake guested on the track Ahi, and she put it out as a single before the album arrived. It is out now, sits with the rest of the month's Latin releases in the release calendar, and the tour behind it, Viajando Por El Mundo, carries on through the autumn.
