KATSEYE performed Animal on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on the night of 12 August 2026, a day before their EP Wild arrived. Lara, Daniela, Yoonchae and Megan played it as a four-piece, with Sophia and Manon both away from the group.
The single was written by Ed Sheeran with Omer Fedi and Blake Slatkin, and it came to them in person. They met Sheeran at the NRJ Awards in France, where he told them he had a song he thought would suit the group. Raj described it afterwards as a full circle moment, since Fedi and Slatkin also wrote KATSEYE's breakout hit Touch.
Wild is a five-track EP and the members treated the interview as the moment to describe a new phase. Asked to sum it up, Avanzini offered one word: wild. Raj went for maturity, and growing up.
The four-piece lineup was addressed on air rather than skirted. Sophia recently announced a hiatus to focus on her mental health, and Manon has been away since February. Raj said the group has nothing but love and support for both, and that it has been good to see fans give them the same while continuing to support the members who are working.
The bigger step comes next. KATSEYE start the Wildworld Tour in September, running through Europe before opening the North American leg on 13 October and finishing on 27 November in Mexico City. It is their first arena tour.
