Megan Thee Stallion must face trial over a harassment and wage lawsuit brought by her former photographer, Emilio Garcia, after a federal judge denied her request for summary judgment on August 7, XXL reported.
Garcia sued Megan, Megan Thee Stallion Entertainment, Hot Girl Touring and Roc Nation in 2024, alleging a hostile work environment, repeated comments about his weight, and a pay structure that was changed in a way that reduced his earnings. He also claims he was barred from working for other clients and denied overtime pay and breaks.
The most widely reported allegation involves a 2022 trip to Ibiza, where Garcia says he was trapped in a moving SUV while Megan had sex with another woman beside him, and was later told, "Don't ever discuss what you saw." Megan's attorneys have disputed his account of the incident and of their broader working relationship, calling the claims "fabricated" and describing the case as an employment dispute dressed up with sensational details.
Judge Gregory H. Woods found enough conflicting evidence on Garcia's pay, working conditions and hostile work environment claims to send the case to a jury. The lawsuit already survived an earlier attempt to narrow it in 2025, when Woods let the hostile work environment and wage claims continue while dismissing others.
No trial date has been set. Both sides are expected to submit estimates for how long the proceedings will take before Woods schedules the case.
The lawsuit is playing out as Megan has been active on the business side elsewhere this year, including a new Interscope distribution deal for her label this month.
