WAP, the 2020 hip-hop single by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, has been certified diamond after surpassing 10 million units sold in the United States, That Grape Juice and XXL reported August 3 and 4. The certification gives Cardi B four diamond-certified songs, the most of any female rapper, and it is the first diamond plaque of Megan Thee Stallion's career.
WAP, produced by Ayo the Producer and Keyz, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in August 2020 and became one of the biggest songs of that year. It was later placed on Cardi B's long-delayed sophomore album, Am I the Drama?, which arrived five years after the single. Her other diamond hits include 2017's "Bodak Yellow," 2018's "I Like It" with Bad Bunny and J Balvin, and her feature on Maroon 5's "Girls Like You."
Cardi B reacted on X, writing that she and Megan "really did that," and Megan Thee Stallion shared the post, calling it a "diamond sisterrr" moment.
