NME published the full soundtrack for Madden NFL 27 on August 7, a week before the game's August 13 launch, revealing songs from Ozzy Osbourne, Bad Bunny and Avicii alongside Paramore's Misery Business, the White Stripes' Seven Nation Army and Yungblud's Hello Heaven, Hello. EA said the game would carry the biggest soundtrack in Madden history: 80 songs blending new and unreleased music, rising talent and gameday anthems across hip-hop, rock, country, pop, metal and electronic.
"More than a playlist, the soundtrack reflects Madden's unique role at the intersection of sports, gaming and music culture," EA said in a press release, calling it a way of "helping introduce fans to new artists while pairing the energy of football with beloved records across genres."
Madden NFL 27 is EA Sports's American football game, built around what EA calls its new Persona Engine and due out August 13; NME described it as turning Franchise Mode into a reactive league where every player carries a distinct personality.
The rock and metal side of the list runs from Motorhead's Ace of Spades and Metallica's For Whom the Bell Tolls to Stone Temple Pilots' Plush, The Killers' Mr. Brightside and Motley Crue's Kickstart My Heart, while hip-hop cuts include Nas and DJ Premier's GiT Ready, Warren G featuring Nate Dogg's Regulate and Naughty By Nature's Hip Hop Hooray, alongside newer names like Ella Langley's Dandelion and Isaiah Rashad's M.O.M.
The full soundtrack is streaming now, ahead of the game's release next week.
