Avicii's full final DJ set is released ten years after the Ibiza show

Ten years to the day after Tim Bergling walked onstage at Ushuaia in Ibiza and played what turned out to be his last set as Avicii, the whole performance has been released. His estate and Pophouse, the Swedish investment firm that manages his catalogue, published the footage through the Avicii Community platform, with the first three songs premiering through Rolling Stone.

The camera is the story. A GoPro was fixed to the stage and left running, so the shot never cuts away from Bergling and never wanders into the crowd. What it captures is an hour of a DJ working: the mixing, the waiting, the small corrections. The set opens with "Without You," moves into a remix of Dizzee Rascal's "Dirtee Cash," and then reaches his Nicky Romero collaboration "I Could Be the One."

Pieces of that night had surfaced before, in the 2024 short film Avicii: My Last Show, which arrived alongside the documentary Avicii: I'm Tim. This is the first time a complete Avicii set has been released officially, and it is unedited rather than cut around narration and interviews.

The date the show fell on was already loaded. Just before he played Ushuaia on August 28, 2016, Bergling had written to fans announcing his retirement from touring, according to his estate. He died by suicide in 2018 at 28, after years of heavy touring, exhaustion and mental health problems.

The release doubles as an expansion of the Avicii Community itself. Alongside the footage, the platform opened a fan gallery on its Shows feature where people can upload their own photos and video from performances over the years, which turns the archive into something crowdsourced rather than only official.

Born in Stockholm, Bergling built some of the most recognisable electronic records of the 2010s by folding country and soul into dance music. His 2011 song "Levels" was nominated for Best Dance Recording at the 55th Grammy Awards, and "Wake Me Up" with Aloe Blacc and "Hey Brother" both came from his 2013 debut album True.

The release is filed under electronic. Ushuaia is still one of the island's defining rooms and has just revealed its own 2026 closing party lineup, while Pophouse's grip on legacy catalogues has become its own story, including Gene Simmons saying Kiss needs the firm's permission to tour again.
