AZ Chike and Tyler, the Creator have put out a song together, and the video does most of the talking. Look Like My Mama arrived on August 28 with a clip directed by Stacking Memories, and Pitchfork's Walden Green wrote it up the same day.
It opens at a school called NRFTW High, where the lockers look suspiciously like the ones in Napoleon Dynamite. Taped across them are flyers reading NO REST FOR THE WICKED, which is the title of AZ Chike's coming album, and the date 09.18.26.
From there the pair work through a run of film restagings, including scenes from Sinners and Men in Black, each shot closely enough to the original to be recognised rather than merely referenced.
The framing device lands at the end. The whole sequence turns out to be playing on a television in a kid's bedroom, which recasts the film pastiche as something being watched rather than lived.
Announcing an album date inside the set dressing rather than in a press release is a Tyler-adjacent move, and it fits a rollout that has kept the marketing inside the work. Tyler's own 2025 album, Don't Tap the Glass, placed at number 26 in Pitchfork's ranking of the best pop albums of that year.
