Dinosaur Jr. have announced a 2027 winter tour of North America, running from February into March with the Los Angeles band Starcrawler supporting on most dates. The announcement came the same day as their new album, There Near.
The run opens with two nights at Brooklyn Steel on February 11 and 12, then works south through Philadelphia, Silver Spring, Carrboro, Jacksonville, St. Petersburg, Orlando, Athens, Nashville and Cincinnati before turning west to Kansas City, Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit and Toronto. It closes on March 13 at the House of Blues in Boston, back in the band's native Massachusetts.
There Near is the trio's first album in five years, and Pitchfork notes the 2027 dates extend a North American tour that had only just started. The band also released a video for the song Everything At Once, directed by Guy Kozak, which follows a medieval knight mowing a lawn, washing a car and barbecuing.
The album arrived with a run of free New York shows staged with Fender under the banner The One. For New York. That series opened at the small honky-tonk bar Lucinda's, moved from Maria Hernandez Park to Tompkins Square Park, and added an afternoon set at TV Eye.
J Mascis has kept busy around the band. He swapped cover songs with Mike Watt for a split seven-inch earlier in 2026, and the pair spent the previous summer co-headlining a US tour with Snail Mail.
A 2026 fall tour comes first, with the winter dates picking up afterwards. Tickets for the new shows are on sale now, and the run is logged on the tour guide. Dinosaur Jr. already marked the record with four New York shows, and they remain a fixture of American rock.
