Producers Jennifer Walton and Proc Fiskal rework Numerology for a tour-only 12-inch

My New Band Believe have put out two remixes of "Numerology," one from Jennifer Walton and 96 Back and the other from the Scottish producer Proc Fiskal. Both are going on a limited edition 12-inch, and the only place to buy it will be the merch table at the band's own shows, Pitchfork reported on 18 August 2026.

"Numerology" came out in February and never made the album. The band's self-titled debut arrived in April without it, which left the song outside the record and, now, in two other people's hands.

The band is the spinoff project of Cameron Picton, who was a member of Black Midi. Since the album landed the group has released videos for "One Night," "Pearls" and "In the Blink of an Eye," the last of which followed a Japanese fisherman through his daily routine.

Pitchfork named the self-titled record Best New Music and carried it into the outlet's rundown of the best music of 2026 so far.

Both mixes went up to stream when the band shared them, so the vinyl is the part that is hard to get. Pitchfork filed the item under electronic music alongside pop and rock, which covers the ground between the remixers and the band.

The shows the record depends on start at Green Man in Wales, where the band play across 21 to 23 August, and carry on into North America: two nights at the Lodge Room in Los Angeles on 26 and 27 August, then the Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco, the Starlet Room in Sacramento, Polaris Hall in Portland, Barboza in Seattle and the Fox Cabaret in Vancouver, with Madison and Chicago's Sound & Gravity Festival in the first week of September.

From there the run leaves for Asia, with Seoul on 28 September, Osaka on 30 September and Tokyo on 1 October, before a European leg that opens in Amsterdam on 7 October, works east through Copenhagen, Hamburg, Berlin and Prague, doubles back for UK dates in late October, and ends with Spanish and Italian shows, the last of them in Turin on 5 November.

Pairings have been busy in the same corner of the year: Octo Octa and Eris Drew are readying a joint album as Alchemical Sisters, and Jlin and Third Coast Percussion have one called Vernacular. The Numerology 12-inch is a smaller object than either, and the only way to own one is to turn up.
