Kehlani cancels two tour dates after a hospital visit

Kehlani has called off two shows on The Kehlani World Tour after going to hospital. She confirmed the cancellations on a Wednesday, saying she had spent the night unable to swallow and in enough pain that she was not cleared to sing.

Her own account was direct about how fast it turned. She wrote that after two off days feeling completely normal she had been up all night, had just left the hospital, and was not cleared for the next two shows. She apologised to Camden and DC by name and said her team was working on a solution.

The two affected dates are Camden, New Jersey, and the Washington, D.C. area stop. The tour was scheduled to resume on August 29 at the Allianz Amphitheater in Richmond, Virginia, which left a short gap rather than an open ended pause.

The cancellation lands in the middle of a long routing. The North American leg runs through early October before the tour heads to South America, Europe and South Africa, which is the kind of schedule that leaves little slack for a singer to be off her voice for a week.

She has spoken recently about the routines she uses to protect her health on the road, which is a common enough subject for touring artists now but still relatively new as something discussed openly rather than managed quietly.

Her self-titled fifth album arrived in April and debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.
