Mary J. Blige has set an end date for her first Las Vegas residency. My Life, My Story will finish in February 2027, closing a twenty-night run at Dolby Live inside Park MGM, and ten of those nights are still to be played.
The remaining dates are split across two blocks and routed around holidays. October takes the 23rd, 24th, 28th, 30th and 31st, which puts a show on Halloween; February takes the 12th, 13th, 17th, 19th and 20th, covering both Valentine's Day weekend and Presidents' Day weekend. Every performance starts at 8pm.
Blige framed the whole thing as a matter of timing. "This residency felt like divine timing," she said, adding that she feels more grateful and more inspired after every show, and told her audience to grab their girlfriends and their boots and come to Vegas in October and February.
A career-spanning production is a natural fit for a singer whose catalogue has already been turned into a stage show once before, and the residency has arrived during an unusually dense stretch of her career: induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2024, the album Gratitude in November of the same year, and the 2025 For My Fans Tour, which ended with a sold-out Madison Square Garden show given a global theatrical release.
The rest of her working life has been running in parallel. Nine Grammy awards, eight multi-platinum albums and an Emmy-winning Super Bowl LVI halftime performance sit on one side; two Academy Award nominations for Mudbound, a finished run on the STARZ series Power Book II: Ghost, and the production company Blue Butterfly with deals at Lionsgate and BET sit on the other. Her Lifetime relationship produced the film Mary J. Blige's Be Happy in February 2026.
The residency has also run through a year in which she has taken criticism of her own, after fronting an advertising campaign for the AI music company Suno. The closing dates are logged on the tour guide with the rest of the rnb-soul and hip-hop calendar, in a Las Vegas year that has been harder on some performers than others, Barry Manilow having paused his own residency last month.
