Amazon Music streamed Outside Lands festival free for anyone who could not make it to Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. The festival ran August 7 to 9, and the stream carried sets from headliners The Strokes, Charli XCX and Rufus Du Sol, plus Turnstile, Baby Keem, Death Cab for Cutie, the xx, Geese and Ethel Cain. Each day's coverage started at 4:30pm Eastern on Prime Video and on Amazon Music's Twitch channel.

Outside Lands is an annual festival held in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. This year's edition was the first since the death of festival co-founder Jonathan Mayers, who died last year, so the lineup carried extra weight for longtime fans of the event.

The full three-day schedule ran across two stages each afternoon and evening, mixing developing acts with the bigger names. Friday's undercard included Clipse, Tinashe and Labrinth ahead of Charli XCX and Turnstile's headline sets; Saturday added Sierra Ferrell, Yard Act and Malcolm Todd before Djo, the xx and The Strokes closed the night; and Sunday saw Death Cab for Cutie open and close Channel 1's lineup, sandwiched around Baby Keem, Empire of the Sun and Mariah the Scientist.

It made for a fair showcase of indie rock's arena-fillers and pure pop headliners alike, from The Strokes to Charli XCX. The Strokes and Charli XCX's paths crossed again during the weekend: Charli XCX turns up during the Strokes set at Outside Lands captured that overlap, while Charli XCX had carried much of the same summer run through Lollapalooza days earlier.

Beyond the marquee names, the schedule filled out with sets from Kerala Dust, Wet Leg, Grace Ives, Durand Bernarr and GRiZTRONICS on Friday, Lucy Dacus, Yard Act and It's Murph on Saturday, and Momma, Kingfishr and Lane 8 closing out Sunday. Little else about future plans for the festival was reported alongside the stream, and the dates now sit in the festival tracker alongside the rest of the summer's run.
