Pardoner have announced an album called Target Practice and put out a song from it, Twisted. Both landed on August 19, 2026, and Stereogum posted the track that morning.
The band come out of San Francisco, and Stereogum's Chris DeVille files them as indie rock with power pop in it. Their last album, Peace Loving People, was released on the long-running Bar/None label in 2023.
An EP, Paranoid In Hell, followed in 2024. Two years on from that, DeVille wrote, the next record is ready.
Twisted joins the autumn's other indie announcements on the release calendar, among them Toner's first album in five years and Post Common's self-titled first EP.
