Stella Lefty is set to make her Grand Ole Opry debut on September 2, Country Now reported on August 11. She announced the date herself on social media, alongside a childhood photo of herself holding an electric guitar behind a microphone, marking her first appearance on the historic stage.
"It's truly a dream come true to stand on the same stage as so many of my idols," Lefty wrote in her announcement, thanking the Opry and the fans who have supported her career. Little Big Town, Lori McKenna and Ashley Monroe are also on the bill that night, with more performers still to be announced.
The Opry news caps a breakout year for the Illinois singer. Her single "Boston" has spent 17 weeks on the charts and topped 330 million streams, reaching the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 behind Taylor Swift and Ella Langley while also climbing at country and pop radio. Her follow-up single, "Lean In Kiss Me," a friends-to-lovers song, arrived days before the Opry announcement and previews her debut album, Long Way Home, out August 21.
Lefty brought that same run of songs to Lollapalooza in Chicago earlier this year, making her festival debut and announcing Long Way Home in front of more than 12,000 fans. During the set she brought out her boyfriend, actor and singer Vincent Mason, for their duet "Something to Lose," which remains in the top 50 of the Hot 100 and the top 15 of the Billboard Country Songs chart.
Lefty will follow the album with a headline run across Australia and North America starting in November, joining the tour guide among the fall's other new country dates. The Opry debut lands soon after MusicSuey's earlier coverage of her album announcement.
