The Linda Lindas released "Blood On Our Hands," a hardcore-leaning track led by bassist Eloise Wong that takes on complicity in mass murder, ahead of their third album GOTTA GET OUT.
Wong said, "we're living in very dark times and it's really easy to feel hopeless," and that the song is about doing what you can, not just on national boycott days and marches but every day, thinking about where your money goes and what you put it toward, adding: "we have to do our best to support each other."
The track follows previous singles "Closer," featuring Hayley Williams, and "Burning Out," and arrives with a live performance video directed by Ryan Baxley. It's the third preview from GOTTA GET OUT, a record where the band broke from its earlier routines, decamping to Palm Springs and Long Beach to write together in the same room for the first time and work through unfinished ideas and spontaneous demos.
The album is out August 28 via Reprise/Warner Records. A North American tour begins September 16 in Sacramento with support from Bleachers, The Rat Utopia Experiment, VIAL, Deux Visages, Adan Diaz and Grace Bowers, plus a stop at Tom Morello's Power to the People festival in Columbia, Maryland, before closing November 7 in Los Angeles, where the band supports Jimmy Eat World at the Hollywood Bowl. No UK or European dates have been announced alongside the album news.
