Troye Sivan reveals fourth album 'She's the Best,' out October 9

Troye Sivan has announced his fourth studio album, She's the Best, arriving October 9. He released the title track and its video at midnight on August 14, and the video stars Nicole Kidman alongside drag performer Sasha Colby, reuniting Sivan with Kidman eight years after they worked together on the 2018 film Boy Erased.

Sivan described the record as a portrait of the years since his last album. "It explores the high-octane highs of the last few years, and the solitude and longing that sat underneath," he said in a statement, adding that the one constant keeping him grounded through it all was not the work or the men in his life, but the women around him.

The title track was written by Sivan with Leland, George Daniel, Jack Antonoff and Styalz Fuego, and produced by Daniel, Antonoff, Fuego and Sivan himself; the video was directed by Gordon von Steiner. She's the Best follows Sivan's 2023 album Something to Give Each Other, after which he co-headlined the SWEAT tour with Charli XCX, pairing that record with her album Brat.

The rollout leaned heavily on New York City imagery: a week of teaser videos and photos showed Sivan in rockabilly-style hair around the city, and the cover art released alongside the announcement shows a woman in full cabaret glam, topless but for sparkly pasties, smoking a cigarette beside an elevated subway line.

Pre-orders for signed vinyl and CDs opened the same day as the announcement. Beyond the title, the release date, and the first video's cast and credits, Sivan has not shared a tracklist or further details for She's the Best, now logged on the release calendar under pop.
