Daisy Chain Fields festival locks in stage times so no sets overlap

Fourteen sets across two stages are timed so festivalgoers never have to choose between acts.

Olivia Rodrigo has published the stage times for Daisy Chain Fields, the all-female festival she is staging at Great Park in Irvine, California on August 29. NME reported on August 12 that the schedule is built so none of the 14 sets across the Dandelion and Marigold stages run against each other, letting fans catch every act they want to see.

Daisy Chain Fields brings together women and female-fronted artists including Chappell Roan, Doechii, Mitski, Bikini Kill, Garbage and Santigold, with the Dandelion stage also featuring KATSEYE and closing with Rodrigo's own set, and the Marigold stage carrying Rachel Chinouriri, Die Spitz, The Breeders and Not for Radio earlier in the day. Special guests Sarah McLachlan and Stevie Nicks join Rodrigo's closing set.

Rodrigo has said the festival grew out of an image of girls making daisy chains together, "like individual links in this chain that is larger than the individual," and that she called McLachlan, the Lilith Fair founder, before anyone else once she decided to put the event on. Asked in a Good Morning America interview whether she and Nicks might duet on Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide," Rodrigo teased, "We might make that happen for you, Diane. We'll see. Can't give too much away."

The festival lands a month before Rodrigo opens her Unraveled world tour, which starts in North America before reaching The O2 in London next April. Proceeds from Daisy Chain Fields go to organizations working on reproductive rights, maternal health and gender equity, and the day also carries community art and educational programming alongside the music.

Rodrigo has kept a steady run of live and recorded activity around Daisy Chain Fields this year, including a surprise Brooklyn set that led her to open a Bandcamp page. Anyone tracking the rest of the lineup can follow the festival tracker for further additions.
